PONTARDAWE 50

The Pontardawe International Music Festival was born from the Pontardawe Folk Club in 1978, The festival went from strength to strength over many years. becoming an internationally acclaimed showcase for world music.

While the festival no longer takes place in its spiritual home at Parc Ynysderw the legacy survives in the form of the Pontardawe Fringe Festival with a weekend of music happening in the public houses and inns of Pontardawe.

Would you like to get involved with planning how to celebrate 50 wonderful years of Pontardawe Festival?

Do you have the skills to organise a celebration or do you want to work with others and learn new skills?

Are you a band, a musician or artist?

Have you played Pontardawe Festival in the past? Would like to do so again? Or do you wish you’d had the opportunity to play and don’t want to miss out again?

Are you interested in volunteering?

Any form of celebration will rely on an army of volunteers who are prepared to give their time to help make it happen. You might come to Pontardawe by yourself but you will leave having made new friendships that will last a lifetime!

Are you interested in sponsoring?

A celebration of 50 years of Pontardawe Festival will cost a lot of money whatever happens. There will be sponsorship opportunities available at every level and recognition for being a benefactor will be prominent on the website, at the event, on tickets if the event is ticketed and on social media…. get in touch to discuss.
